Program Description

The AF Committee is working in partnership with the City of Brockville. The city has dedicated staff, Lesley White, Manager of Strategic Initiatives, to act as liaison between AF committee and city management /council and guide the direction of Brockville’s AF Action Plan. At the present team, the committee has conducted 3 professionally facilitated meetings to develop Brockville’s AF Action Plan.

  2. Community Engagement – Learning from Seniors in Our Community 
    • Public Events, Survey’s, Senior Centre Site Visits, Round Table, Community AF Audit Participation, AF Committee & Sub-Committee Participation, One-on-One
  3. Phase 2/2:  Community Audit & Evaluation of Age-Friendly Programs, Structures, Services
    • Identify AF features, gaps with   appropriate solutions toolkit, identify overlaps, establish priorities, document survey responses and additional senior feed-back
  4. To Become Municipal Advisory Committee  
  5. Finalize Action Plan for City Council Approval
  6. Ontario Recognition Program
